Stop The Insanity!

We don't realize it, but we keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. What we don't know is that we aggravate the mental illness in people by the way we communicate with them. We are literally "talking them" crazy.

The good news is there is a different way to communicate that will lead to their wellness and help stop this insanity.

There's Really No Denying It

This year, more than 50 million people in the U.S. will experience a mental illness.

Most of them will be well treated with medication and therapy.
False: Actually, some 30 million people will go untreated.

Millions of them are in denial.
False: They are really NOT in denial; they suffer from anosognosia.

How we talk to people with a mental illness is a leading determining factor of the severity of their illness.

There is just no good way to talk to someone with a mental illness.
False: Actually there is a very effective way.

Bob Krulish spent 35 years of his life with undiagnosed and untreated bipolar disorder. It destroyed his life numerous times, eventually leaving him on the floor of an abandoned cabin in the woods. Now he works to reduce the suffering caused by mental illness.

He is the author of When Scream Become Whispers  and teaches effective and powerful communication skills around the U.S. in his workshops and private coaching practice. Bob currently lives just outside of Seattle, WA.
